Postgraduate Education

Postgraduate education is an important part of the JKMRC's research activity.  Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degrees by research are offered at the JKMRC from The University of Queensland.

Postgraduate students benefit from:

  • Leading edge research topics and internationally-recognised researchers
  • Access to state-of-the-art technical facilities at the JKMRC
  • Practical industry experience through site based research
  • Collaboration with industry and research partners worldwide
  • Special events including the SMI RHD Conference, an annual International Night celebration and the annually awarded Ian Morley Prize for the best all-round postgraduate student.

The multicultural JKMRC research community is located in a pleasant, sub-tropical bushland setting only 10 kilometres from the centre of Brisbane, one of Australia's largest cities.
